Like most people, Ken gets increasingly frustrated when companies fail to communicate properly, whether that be through a mass market campaign like advertising or through a one-on-one sales engagement with a prospective buyer. So, he helps companies to get it right.

Ken has spent his career in communications. He started off as a journalist working mainly for local newspapers as well as a spell on the Daily Mirror, before moving into PR. For several years, Ken ran a series of PR companies, operating mainly in the tech sector. He then set up his own communications company KDL, which he ran for five years, before joining up with Paul and Richard to create The Amber Group.

Ken believes that, despite the known and well documented impact of both good and bad communication, companies rarely get it right: " They either rely on too much research and not enough intuition, or they go the other way and go for gut-feel, second-guessing what they think their customer wants to hear. Typically, it should be somewhere in the middle."

Ken is also the founder of Byte Night, the tech industry's largest charity event.

When not banging on about communication, Ken can be found on the golf course, writing the book that he will never finish, or looking after one of his four children. Ken would question whether you would be interested in this......
